Material and component minimums also affect the final order arrangement.
Which materials do you recommend for custom backpacks?
We review materials around your collection’s appearance, hand feel, target price and intended use. Options include:
- Premium PU: A popular option balancing price with leather-like texture.
- Recycled PU: An option for recycled-material collections, often with costs close to standard PU.
- Plant-based vegan leather: A premium material direction; sample costs can be around twice those of PU, depending on the material.
- Microfiber or bio-based materials: Options for projects prioritizing hand feel and durability.
- Genuine leather: A premium option with higher material and sample costs.
The selected material specification and supporting documents are confirmed during development.
Can you customize my logo, hardware, lining and packaging?
Yes. As your custom logo backpack supplier, we support suitable embossing, debossing and foil stamping, custom hardware and zipper pulls, lining selection, branded dust bags and packaging boxes. The application method is reviewed against your material and artwork.
Custom logo hardware may require a one-time tooling fee of approximately USD 80–200, depending on the logo size, shape and process complexity. The tooling can be reused for subsequent orders.
Can you develop an original backpack from my sketch or reference?
Yes. Our in-house pattern makers and product engineers can develop patterns and construction from a design drawing, reference image or hand-drawn sketch. As an OEM and ODM backpack manufacturer, we can also work from your existing tech pack and specifications. The design and construction are reviewed through sampling before production.
How much do samples cost, and can the fee be credited to an order?

How long do sampling and bulk production take?
Standard sampling takes approximately 14 days from confirmation of the design, materials and sample deposit. Bulk production takes approximately 45 days after sample approval and payment of the production deposit.
Complex construction, special materials, custom hardware, revisions and production scheduling may extend these timelines. Our custom backpack factory confirms the schedule for your specific project; shipping time is planned separately.
What is the typical FOB price for bulk backpacks?
Typical FOB prices are approximately USD 9-20 per piece, depending on design complexity, material selection and order quantity. As your wholesale backpack supplier, we provide a formal quotation after the sample and specifications are finalized. Packaging and custom component costs are confirmed in the quotation.
What are your payment terms for bulk production?
Standard terms are a 30% deposit by T/T to start production and the 70% balance against a copy of the bill of lading (B/L). The payment terms are recorded in the order confirmation.
What factory credentials do you have, and do you accept third-party inspection?
Our factory credentials include SMETA / Sedex social compliance assessment, GRS, Disney FAMA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Relevant reports and qualification details can be shared during project discussions.
We also support customer-appointed third-party inspection before shipment. As your backpack manufacturer in China, we review the inspection scope, quality criteria and any required tests with you before the order.
What should I send to start a backpack sample?
Send what you have ready, ideally including:
- Your logo artwork, such as a vector AI file or high-resolution PNG.
- Product reference images, sketches or a tech pack.
